A NUMO forum was held in Kharkiv, bringing together active young people from the region, representatives of youth organizations, centers, and councils to summarize two years of activity and determine further steps for the development of youth policy in the Kharkiv region.
Forum participants from various communities in the Kharkiv region learned how the NUMO team and coalition members had implemented dozens of projects over two years. These included community trips, youth exchanges, training events, and camps, which contributed to the formation of an active youth network in the region.
An important element of the program was the discussion of partnership initiatives. Coalition organizations presented joint projects that have influenced the development of youth policy in the region. Participants also learned about cases from Germany and Slovenia that could be adapted for implementation in the region.
A separate presentation was given on the state of youth policy in the Kharkiv region. Participants compared the situation at the start of the project with the current situation, which allowed them to outline key conclusions and new guidelines for their work.
The central part of the forum was a discussion on the creation of the Kharkiv Regional Coalition of NUMO as a separate unit. The delegates reviewed the provisions of the Declaration, made proposals, and voted to elect the members of the coalition's Board and Supervisory Board.
«It is very nice to see once again that there are people in the Kharkiv region who are ready to join forces, share common values and interests, and are ready to create a NUMO community. They are ready to speak up about what young people need. And not just talk about it — but also take responsibility and implement these changes»
