Biography

Since 1994, he has been a member of the Plast group «Shershni» 49th troop named after I. Mykolaychuk. He has participated in Plast activities and trips. He attended the troop camp «Trip to Australia» (Lukvytsia village, 1996). He earned the rank of Plast member. He was actively involved in Plast until about 1997.

With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion in March 2022, he voluntarily enlisted in the army. He took part in combat operations in the forests of the Zhytomyr region until the Russian troops retreated in April 2022. In August, he was wounded by a grenade explosion near the city of Bakhmut. He underwent several operations to remove shrapnel from his lungs, arms, and legs. Some fragments remained in his legs. He underwent lengthy rehabilitation and returned to the front in January 2023. He was killed in action on January 30 near Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

He was awarded the Iron Plast Cross on February 12, 2023.
