Biography

He joined Plast on February 14, 1994, in the village of Yamnytsia. At first, he was a novice in the «Mountain Lions» troop, where he actively participated in novice life.

He moved to the youth troop named after Father Justyn Hirnyak together with his novice troop at the end of 1995.

Later, with the formation of the new «Vovkulaky» group, he became a member. He was a group and troop judge. He actively participated in Plast events, camps, and trips.

With the start of Russian aggression in 2014, he became a soldier in the ATO/OOS zone. He was a soldier-mechanic in the repair department of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade «Edelweiss.»

After the open Russian invasion in 2022, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a soldier-mechanic in the repair department. By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dated October 16, 2023, No. 2422, he was awarded the honorary breastplate «Golden Cross.»

He died on March 6, 2024, from injuries sustained when a rocket fired by Russian armed forces hit the Donetsk region.

He was buried with military honors on March 9, 2024, in the cemetery of the village of Tyaziv.
