Biography

He joined Plast on February 25, 2010. He was a member of the «White Fangs» group of the 59th S. Lenkavsky Troop. He was named a Plast supporter on June 10, 2010. In the group, he served as treasurer (2012) and clerk (2013). He left active Plast membership in the first quarter of 2014.

With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, he and his father voluntarily enlisted in the 78th separate battalion of the 102nd separate territorial defense brigade named after Colonel Dmytro Vitovsky. He served in the mortar brigade. After training in April 2022, he arrived directly at the front in the Zaporizhzhia region. He was a senior soldier, a military drone pilot, worked with a mortar, and corrected targets.

On February 3, 2023, at approximately 12:00 p.m., near the village of Zelenyi Hai, Polohivsky District, Zaporizhzhia Region, he and his comrade came under enemy tank fire, as a result of which both were killed on the spot.

He was awarded the Iron Plast Cross on February 12, 2023.

«He was a professional, despite his young age,” says his comrade Yevhen Yakhyaev. "When we were on duty together, he constantly talked about what a wonderful life we would have after victory. You know, they say that people who fight are subconsciously ready to die. But I don't think we are ready for the people around us to die. Andriy had to live and do so much more.»
