Biography

He was a member of the boyar circle «Knights» of the 75th kuren named after the Heroes of the Battle of Kruty. He received a musical education, played the flute and ukulele, sang songs, was very artistic, and often joked. He was involved in swimming and judo, and studied English, French, and Japanese.

At the age of 19, while still a student, he participated in the Revolution of Dignity.

In December 2019, Bohdan stood up to defend his homeland. He chose to serve in the legendary 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, famous for its combat history.

As part of his military unit, Bohdan took part in combat operations of the Joint Forces Operation, and with the start of the full-scale Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, he participated in battles on the hottest sections of the front.

Bohdan completed sergeant training courses and served as a platoon commander.

During his service, Bohdan twice received the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's honorary badge «For Exemplary Military Service» and was repeatedly awarded certificates of honor.

For his personal courage and selfless actions in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and his loyalty to the military oath, Bogdan was awarded the Order «For Courage» III degree by Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 313/2022 of May 5, 2022.

He did not live to receive this award.

On May 25, 2022, while performing a combat mission to mine enemy equipment, Bohdan died together with his comrades near the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region.

He was awarded the Iron Plast Cross on June 2, 2022. Bohdan Kryvitsky was buried in the old cemetery on the Alley of Heroes in the city of Boyarka.
