Biography

Since January 2021, he has been a member of the Pilgrims group of the Roman Atamanyuk preparatory troop in Sumy. In May 2021, he earned the rank of supporter and received a scarf, and began taking his first test. He has participated in various Plast events.

He participated in the All-Ukrainian national-patriotic game Sokil «Dzhura.» He was an active participant and organizer of the youth patriotic movement in the Sumy region. In addition to Plast, he belonged to the NGO «Prava Molod» (Youth Rights).

He was fond of sports, practiced CrossFit and played soccer.

A few months before the full-scale Russian invasion, he fulfilled his dream — he moved to Mariupol and joined the Azov regiment. From February 24, he participated in the defense of the city. He was killed on May 1, 2022, by an enemy sniper's bullet during a breakthrough to the blocked Azovstal metallurgical plant. After the exchange of the bodies of the deceased soldiers in Mariupol, he was identified by DNA analysis.

He was buried with military honors on March 8, 2023, in the Alley of Glory at the Baranovsky Cemetery in Sumy.

He was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, III degree, for personal courage and selfless actions in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, and the Medal for Special Services to the Community of the Sumy District, I degree.
