Biography

Dmytro was a member of the Free Ukraine Movement and the National Alliance. Originally from Kropyvnytskyi, he fought for freedom of assembly during the Yanukovych regime, was an expert for the regional coalition RPR, coordinated the Movement of State Builders, and headed the NGO Association of Political Sciences. He wrote for Radio Liberty and Ukrainian Week, covering life on the front lines. After February 24, 2022, he volunteered to join the Ukrainian Defense Forces as part of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army. He died in August 2023 in Donetsk Oblast at the age of 37. Dmytro lived by his credo — he thought freely, spoke honestly, and acted boldly.

«He had one great love — Ukraine,» said his wife Olena. «He dreamed of a bright future for it and tried to do everything to achieve it as quickly as possible. He lived for it and gave his life for it.»
