Biography

Yuriy was an active volunteer with a civic organization and the coordinator of construction projects at the Lviv branch of «Building Ukraine Together» (BUR). He participated in numerous volunteer initiatives aimed at rebuilding and developing Ukrainian cities and villages. His energy and dedication inspired many around him.

He served as an officer in the Special Operations Forces and later became a scout, earning the rank of captain. Yuriy died on March 19, 2023, defending Ukraine against Russian aggression.

Nastya Lychak, head of the BUR Lviv chapter, recalls: «He always tried to help everyone and everything, putting that above his own desires and needs. Literally everyone: people, animals, the country. He worked a lot with us: he grew from a volunteer to an administrator, often investing a lot of time and even his own money into our activities. You could always count on him.»
