Biography
Since September 1993, he has been a member of the Plast scout group «Gorytsviti» and later «Karpatski Vovky» (led by senior scout Andriy Chemerynskyi, SM) of the 35th Justyn Hirnyak troop in the suburban village of Yamnytsia, where he has lived since childhood. In 1994, he became a group member. He was active in Plast events, trips, and training sessions. He participated in the district camp «Skobine Gnezdo» (August 1995). He took the Plast oath. He was actively involved in Plast until 1996.
Later, he regularly helped Plast members, in particular with transportation during camps of the M. Rudnytska 56th Troop.
He studied at the Yamnytsia School, then graduated from Ivano-Frankivsk Higher Professional Technical School No. 21 with a specialization in blacksmithing and gas welding.
For a short time, he worked as a gas welder at the Ivano-Frankivsk Cement and Slate Plant. He completed his military service in Berdychiv, Zhytomyr region.
After getting married, he lived with his family in Ivano-Frankivsk.
He worked as a long-distance truck driver in Europe.
With the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he volunteered for the army. Senior Sergeant. Commander of the automotive maintenance section of the logistics platoon in the 78th separate battalion of the 102nd separate territorial defense brigade named after Colonel Dmytro Vitovsky. He carried out combat missions on the front line in the Zaporizhzhia region near the town of Huliaipole.
On April 16, 2025, he suffered numerous injuries and wounds in an accident in the Zaporizhzhia region. He was taken to a military hospital in Dnipro, where he died on the morning of April 24, 2025.
He is survived by his mother, wife Lesya, two sons, Mykhailo and Oleksandr, three grandchildren, and his sister Svitlana with her family.
