Biography

He had been a member of Plast since 2004. He was a supporter of the «Tygrynyata» group of the 55th M. Zaliznyak troop in Kolomyia. He participated in the «Legends of the Mountains» camp. At the age of 13, he entered the Prykarpattia Military Sports Lyceum. After graduating from the lyceum, he studied at the I. Kozhedub National Air Force University in Kharkiv, which he successfully completed in 2014.

Major. Top-class pilot.

During the full-scale invasion of Russian troops, he was a fighter pilot of the MiG-29 aircraft of the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force. He became one of the prototypes of the collective image of Ukrainian pilots «Ghost of Kyiv.»

On March 13, 2022, he was killed in an air battle over Zhytomyr against the superior forces of the Russian occupiers.

He was buried on March 17, 2022, in his native village of Korolivka.

On March 19, 2022, by Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 148/2022, he was posthumously awarded the title of «Hero of Ukraine» with the Order of the «Golden Star» for his personal courage and heroism in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and his loyalty to the military oath.
