Biography

He was a member of the Bobrynets branch of the Union of Ukrainian Youth in Ukraine.

In October 2007, he was drafted into military service; he expressed a desire to serve on a contract basis. During the war, he served as a squad leader and radio operator for the command squad of the special operations unit of the 3rd Separate Special Operations Regiment of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. He was killed on August 29, 2014, in battle near Ilovaisk while breaking out of an encirclement. He was posthumously awarded the Order «For Courage» (3rd class), the «Ilovaisk Cross» award, and the special «Iron Cross» distinction.
