In November, the NUMO Forum was held in Sumy Region, bringing together representatives of youth councils, centers, public organizations, and active young people from the region. The event was dedicated to summarizing the results of the year and determining priorities for the further development of youth policy in the region.

Due to the security situation, this time the forum was held not in Sumy, but in a safer location, which allowed participants to work calmly and discuss future steps.

The NUMO Sumy team presented the key activities implemented during the year. These included inter-community exchanges, youth and teenage camps, and a retreat that helped to generate new ideas and partnerships.

Separately, participants learned about examples of youth work from Germany, Estonia, and Luxembourg, which served as a source of inspiration for future initiatives.

The central part of the forum was a discussion of the NUMO Declaration and plans to establish a Sumy branch of the organization. Participants worked in groups, analyzing open questions about the future of youth councils, centers, and possible models of cooperation between communities.

After the presentation of the group's findings, a vote was held on the formation of a coalition, which determined the further direction of the region's youth community.

During the event, participants shared their experiences and expectations for the further development of youth policy. Regional team coordinator Mykhailo Melnyk noted:

The forum demonstrated the willingness of Sumy region youth to actively participate in policy-making and implement joint initiatives. NUMO continues to work with the region's youth and creates conditions for growth, development, and new opportunities in communities.
