The survey, conducted in September–October 2024, covered 763 respondents aged 18–26 from six regions of Ukraine: Kyiv (excluding Kyiv city), Odesa, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, and Kharkiv. Data was collected through face-to-face interviews.

The results show that 67% of the young people surveyed had participated in civic activities over the past year. The most common forms of such activity are volunteering and helping the army, charitable and humanitarian initiatives, and participation in sporting events. The level of involvement varies depending on the region: the highest rates were recorded in the Kyiv, Rivne, and Ternopil regions.

The study also shows that despite security restrictions and the conditions of war, young people try to maintain social ties and an active life. At the same time, youth centers and spaces where young people can systematically spend their free time and implement initiatives remain insufficiently widespread.

A separate section is devoted to young people's interaction with local authorities and their desire to participate in public life at the local level.
